Video update from our team in Haiti
Our Humanitarian Programmes Manager, Mireille Flores, is currently in Haiti assessing needs after Hurricane Matthew and arranging for urgent aid to be dispatched. Mireille has witnessed severe devastation and is particularly concerned about the many children and older people in need of support.
Mireille is on the Island of La Gonave, one of the areas seriously impacted. Over 50% of homes have been destroyed and 90% of crops have been lost, leaving the community with little food or shelter.
World Jewish Relief will work to provide essential aid to this community and others in Haiti, as well as working with them to rebuild their lives.
Help us support some of the 1.4 million people in need of humanitarian aid, over half of whom are children. Donate to our appeals here.
