Covid-19 Global Emergency AppealMake a Donation
Covid-19 is a global humanitarian crisis that requires a global response.
We must act now to save lives.
The Covid-19 virus is impacting the world’s poorest countries. Lack of water and sanitation and weak health systems are putting the vulnerable populations we work with at great risk.
By distributing emergency PPE, water and sanitation systems we can help mitigate against the spread of the disease. By providing food to people who are starving, or in lockdown, we can offer them a lifeline.
Left unchecked, the World Bank estimates 60 million people are in danger of extreme poverty as a result of Covid-19. We must act now to prevent terrifying long-term consequences.
We urgently need your help to:
- Get PPE, homecare, food supplies and medical assistance to older Jewish people in eastern Europe.
- Supply PPE, sanitation products and food to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and to other struggling communities in the developing world.
- Provide emergency food supplies to over 1,000 Jewish families experiencing severe economic hardship in eastern Europe.
£250 can provide 10 homecare workers with one month of essential PPE (gloves, masks, aprons and sanitiser) to keep them and the older Jewish people they care for, safe and well.
£100 can provide face masks and soap for essential handwashing to over 70 families in overcrowded Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh.
£25 can provide an emergency food parcel to a Jewish family or older Jewish person.
