Responding to needs in Ukraine
World Jewish Relief has worked in Ukraine for over 30 years following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Ever since, we have provided life-changing and life-saving support to vulnerable people from within Jewish community and beyond in Ukraine.
When the full-scale Russian invasion began in February 2022, we immediately launched into action. Alongside our network of local Ukrainian partners, we have been responding to immense and varied needs.
We are focusing on humanitarian aid, support to older people particularly within the Jewish community, support to families and children, and livelihood development to help people back into work.
We are also assisting thousands of Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Israel, Moldova and the UK, helping them rebuild their lives. Throughout our work in Ukraine, we are prioritising the most vulnerable including older people, women and children, People with Disabilities, Internally Displaced People, and people living on the frontlines of the conflict.
