From ideas to strategy

Livelihood Programme Team in Zaporozhye, Ukraine

Our partnerships with trusted and accountable local organisations are at the heart of what we do. Without their dedication, hard work and expertise, our work wouldn’t be possible. In this blog, staff members from our livelihood partner organisation in Zaporozhye share their thoughts from a recent seminar we ran called ‘from ideas to strategy’.

“We spent four productive days exploring business models, planning and strategy from a trainer from Geneva called Elena.  Elena, an international entrepreneur and business professional with Jewish roots in Ukraine, delivered a workshop. It showcased innovation within education and employment initiatives such as the one she founded (International Young Leaders Club). She also facilitated interactive sessions on how to develop creative ideas and turn these into real projects and strategies.

“The third and the fourth days of the seminar were really creative. We were taught how to use art-scribing, storytelling and bright visualisation . And we even used what we had learned to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday celebration.

“We thank our partners at World Jewish Relief and colleagues from Kharkov, Krivoy Rog, Lvov and Kiev, and also speakers of the seminar Elena Parker, Kateryna Mitiaev, Aleksei Tolkachyov, Kateryna Roshchyna and Igor Zabolotnyy for inspiring our team and loading us with new ideas!”
