Location: Hybrid working between our office NW2 and working from home


Following a successful Emergency campaign to support Syrian Refugees in 2015 World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.

World Jewish Relief are running a new programme to provide English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and employment support to assist up to 10,000 Ukrainians in entering or gaining higher-paid employment and are looking to recruit five Programme Assistants.

We are looking to recruit a team of 5 Programme Assistants who will play a crucial role in providing support to the Team Leaders responsible for overseeing a team of Remote Employment Advisors

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting with administration and management of programmes, including regular reporting
  • Supporting Employment Advisor’s with client referrals and other general support
  • Assisting with the ongoing monitoring and impact measurement of programmes
  • Analysing results and identifying trends to use data to drive changes and improve quality of programmes.
  • Answering referral phone line
  • Supporting referral process and management of referrals
  • Eligibility assessments of prospective clients
  • Triage enquiries from case workers and public

You should have:

  • Previous administrative / team support experience
  • A high level of administrative skills including a good knowledge of Microsoft packages and databases
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy across every aspect of your work
  • High levels of efficiency and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use your own initiative and make independent decisions.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with beneficiaries with varying levels of English.
