World Jewish Relief has worked in Eastern Europe for 30 years supporting vulnerable older people facing hardship, exclusion and isolation. Since 2022 our work has broadened to meet the immense humanitarian needs across Ukraine. All our work is done in partnership with local organisations with whom we aim to foster strong relationships built on trust and mutual understanding.

As we continue to progress these relationships, we are looking for someone with a strong background in programme management to work with a diverse range of partner organisations who provide services and support to older people and people with disabilities across Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Georgia. The postholder will also be instrumental in building partnerships and in capacity strengthening as well as enhancing best practice in terms of gender sensitivity and disability inclusion. They will lead on strengthening our monitoring, evaluation and learning in order to achieve greater impact through our funding and share this learning across the organisation and beyond.

Strong working knowledge of Russian and Ukrainian language is essential for this role as the majority of our partnerships are with Russian or Ukrainian speaking organisations.

The role requires some international travel (up to 30 days per year) to visit our programmes and partners and conduct monitoring visits.
