Programmes and Finance Officer

Contract:      Full time, 2 year fixed term contract  

We have an exciting opportunity for a Programmes and Finance Officer to join our UK Programmes team which delivers a number of projects to support the successful integration of refugees in the UK. 

As Programmes and Finance Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Refugee Programmes Managers in all programme management, administrative and financial tasks. The UK Programmes Team currently manages three main programmes: the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP), North East RISE, and a new Women’s Programme, STEP Forward. You will support two of these in particular, North East RISE and STEP Ukraine.

You will also support with grants compliance, working closely with partners to support implementation, monitoring and evaluation processes and analysis of results. Financial responsibilities include tracking income and expenditure for all partners and programmes overall, completing monthly financial toolkits and provide regular updates on funding and budgets.

You will have previous experience working in a similar role, supporting the administrative and financial aspects of a programme and or project. You will be capable of producing high level financial reporting and have great understanding of Microsoft Excel with the ability to capture and analyse data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and great stakeholder management are key to the success of this post, as is the ability to use initiative and have a proactive and detailed approach to working.
