WJR wins 2008 Web Award
WJR has been awarded a 2008 Web Award for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development by the Web Marketing Association for its recently launched website www.wjr.org.uk.
Earlier this year WJR went through a rebranding exercise in order to reflect the forward thinking nature of the organisation and to appeal to new supporters. The launch of the new website served as the first public display for WJR's new brand identity.
The Award was given to the site which offers a regularly updated, user friendly new domain for the fast growing charity. Users can now navigate through case studies and projects more easily, allowing them to narrow their searches to suit their own agendas and interests. In developing the site WJR was keen to be entirely transparent by adding additional information on how supporters can get more involved including a 'Get Involved' tab detailing ways that people can either volunteer, collect goods or raise money for WJR.
WJR has also made online donating more efficient, offering either one-off or regular giving options to those wanting to make contributions.
Paul Stein, WJR's Head of Fundraising and Communications, said "It is fantastic to be recognised and rewarded in this way. We have had great feedback about the site and this award is really the icing on the cake."
